I just experienced the "white screen of death" in GetSimple CMS. The problem had something to do with updating CMS to the latest version, and some plugin prevented the update process from being finalized. In case you’re experiencing a similar situation, I recommend to take a backup of your website, delete everything from plugins folder and see if it helps. If the website starts to work, you can upload plugins back to where they were. Also one tool that could pinpoint to the source of error is debugging mode. In GetSimple it can be turned on and off by modifying gsconfig.php file at the root of website.
